Pongal Celebrations at TAFE

TAFE celebrated Pongal in style on January 11, 2013, at the Sembium factory premises. A host of arrangements were made to make the event a very festive, fair-like experience.

A varied combination of stalls, including the food stalls, sweet stalls, coffee/tea stalls, mehandi stall, Film Festival DVD stall etc were placed around the premises, along with different game stalls such as tractor hauling, pot breaking, arm wrestling, rangoli making, bun eating, water gulping, blind bindhi placing, and much more.

However, the highlight of the event was the Pongal making competition.

At the end of the function, the overall winners of the event were crowned with tiaras!

Sembiam Team Sparkles at NCQCC – IIT Kanpur

It gives us immense pleasure in sharing with you that 20 members from Sembiam Plant, forming five Quality Control Circles, participated in the National Level QC Competition at IIT Kanpur, on Decemeber 2012, and these teams won Excellent and Distinguished Awards.

Please join us in congratulating the Sembiam QC Teams for winning accolades at this National Level Quality Convention!

Head Office Admin Team Wins Quality Award

As part of Quality month, TAFE recognized different areas in the organisation where efforts towards quality improvement were made. 

On this note, a valedictory function was organised by the Quality team on 27th December, 2012 in our Sembiam premises, where TAFE’s Head Office Admin team was conferred with an award for improving the quality of communication arrangements in the Head Office.

The project was titled “Telephone connectivity arrangements in Head Office”, and the team was led by Lt. Col. Krishnamurthy, along with team members V Varathrajan, M Ramani, K Rekha, L Prem, S Logachander, K Ramamoorthi, and S Sukumaran. 
 
Cheers to the Admin team for ending 2012  in style!

TAFE DBR Shines at NCQC 2012

TAFE Dhodballapur seems to have the Midas touch!

Teams from DBR took  part in the National Convention on Quality Concept 2012  (Quality Circle Competition)  held at Kanpur from 18th Dec to 20 Dec 2012. This was conducted by Quality Circle Forum of India.

Six teams had taken part from DBR, among a total number of 846 teams across the nation.

The DBR teams were Peacock, Daffodils, Challenger, Rainbow,Spark & Tortoise. Out of these, four Teams won the first level  prize (Par Excellence), and the other two teams bagged the  second level prize (Excellence)

What a great way to end the year! Cheers to Dhodballapur once again 🙂
