SAE – ComVec 2012 at Chicago

SAE ComVEC is the only event of its kind in North America—where suppliers and OEMs in the off-highway, defense, and commercial vehicle and engine arenas who regularly compete against one another can come together to interface and build relationships, work on standards and discuss topics that are relevant to the industry.

This year’s event focuses on, “Total Vehicle Integration: Engineering the Next Vehicle Revolution.” We will address key topics concerning customers, technologies, OEMs and suppliers. We’ll explore how to integrate vehicles and engines more effectively than in the past while addressing customer needs like reliability, fuel economy, performance and quality, and we’ll also examine the engineering it will take to move us forward.

This year, two of our colleaques, Mr Ananth Sakthivel (R&D) and Mr Suresh Kumar N (R&D) represented TAFE at SAE 2012 Commercial Vechicle Conference with papers, viz. Study of Vibration from Steering Wheel of an agricultural tractor; and Multi disc Wet clutch with Oil Spatter cooling System in Main Manual Shift  transmission for tractor, respectively. Ananth and Suresh had co-authored their papers with Mr S Sriraman (VP-R&D) and Cmde Rakesh B Verma (EVP-R&D)

Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple

Namakkal Anjaneyar temple has a history of more than 1500 Years .

The fort of Namakkal is guarded by a giant Anjaneya. The idol is so famous that it has been known as Namakkal Hanuman. Anjaneya is in Digambara temple (with sky as the roof) facing and worshipping Lord Lakshmi Narasimha and the Saleegramam.

The Anjaneya in this kshethra is eighteen feet tall and is having dharshan of the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha about 250 feet (76 m) away. The eye of Anjaneya is in straight line with the patha [lotus feet] of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. One can witness Anjaneya having the dharshan of Lord’s Lotus feet from the Garudalwar sannathi even today. The imprint of the footsteps of Anjaneya Swami is seen in the Kamalalam tank steps.

There was also a rumour in namakkal that the anjaneyar grows in height each and every year. They performed some poojas  to  calm Anjaneya because there should not be any disaster in the world.

As time passes by, many will have been forgotton about this rumours.

Words For Mom

A few words about a mother.

Mommy,

You kept me inside,

Stuffed me inside,

Hugged me inside,

Cared for me inside,

You pulled me outside,

You laughed at me,

And, I cried at you.

Mommy,

You crawled with me,

Cried with me,

Smiled with me,

And, you amalgamated me.

Mommy,

You brought me to my dad,

You broguht me to my world,

You tutored me to my god,

You tutored me to who I am.
